IN MEMORIAM
Juno is my second Akita and kennel’s foundation bitch. Juno has only one litter with 5 puppies in it (1 male 4 females); litter A.
Juno is wonderful female who likes luxury! Rain and extra sports are not the things what turns Juno on. But affections and specially food makes Juno jumping for joy. Juno has always been on eternal diet… On the other hand, there is one thing she loves the most… and that is hunting.
Juno is very calm and steady and she gets along with people easily. Because of her wonderful temperament, she has charmed judges and people.
Juno was a great mom. She take care of her puppies and she really never stopped taking care of her daughter Martta, who stayed at home.
First years Juno spent living in a kennel with Jasmin and Martta, but then I moved in to a flat and all three dogs came along. Juno never liked to live outside, so she was really, really glad when dogs moved indoors.
Juno gained a lot from shows. Her biggest success was at 2002 Winner show where she was Best of Breed under a Japanese judge mr. Tomio Fujihata and got a title W-02! A year before she was BOB-puppy.
Japanese judges are always liked Juno. At 2009 Speciality Show our judge was mr. Yuichi Tomimoto and Juno was BOB-veteran. Juno was also Finnish Akita Club’s the most successful veteran at 2009. Also at 2005 Speciality Show Juno won her class. At then the judge was mr. Mitsuo Yoshinaga.
Juno also has different kind of achievements. Juno has one litter (A-litter) of 5 puppies. From that litter all the girls (4 girls) are Finnish Champions and one of the girls (Viribus Unitis Aetna) has a lot of success from shows. Because of Juno’s dear character she was a kind of PR-dog for me. Juno was an excellent pet, very dear Akita.
Summary of the achievements:
Juno’s hips are healthy, A/A. Eyes were examined two times; healthy.
Juno has minor allergy, also her parent is allergic. Juno’s skin is sensitive and irritates if she eats too much cow. At younger age Juno had yeast in her ears. Because of homeopathy and raw food, all her symptoms stayed away. Juno’s daughter has SA.
Juno didn’t have any knee problems earlier, but Juno’s ligament from knee broke when she was over 10 years old. She was x-rayed and turned out that she had severe spondylosis changes at her upper and lower back. She had also starting osteoarthritis at her other elbow. Because of these problems that caused pain, Juno’s knee wasn’t operated. We said goodbyes to her when she was put to sleep. I didn’t want to cause any pain to her anymore.
