Martta is the first Akita bred by Viribus Unitis! It was obvious that I’ll keep one of Juno’s daughters and I chose the first one, Martta. Martta has one litter; E-litter.

Martta has more energy than her mother Juno, or Jasmin. Martta has been such a drama queen with great vocals. I think she thought she is the king of the litter. Maybe she was, at least she was the biggest puppy.

Younger Martta didn’t like strangers, but with time she grew up to be calmer. Today she is special. She still is convincing and other dogs, even Akitas won’t start a fight with her. Martta doesn’t like to fight, but she is strong, so many dogs respect that.

Martta is easier to teach than Jasmin or Juno. When Martta does something right and she gets thanks, she just shines for joy. My dear, funny girl. I think Martta loves the most my husband Antti. Maybe they have some kind of secret understanding.

Martta is well balanced with very strong bones. She also has got a thick coat with dark red color and some black hairs.

Martta lived her first years at kennel with Juno and Jasmin. And I was amazed how easily she adapt a new life with us inside a flat. But Martta is easy dog, she adapts changes quite easily. Even a flight from Finland to Spain wasn’t that big of deal for her.

Martta likes food. Mother’s daughter… But with pork comes minor troubles, so I don’t give pork to her.

Martta’s achievements

Martta is a Finnish Champion. I haven’t taken her to shows anymore, because of her SA. She did well in her first years at show rings. She was exc. BOB 2 times at international shows.

Martta has only one litter of 7 puppies. From that litter only one goes to shows and Hilma is wonderful female, who is a Finnish Champion.

Martta’s health

Martta has a very strong bones and her hips are A/A. Martta’s eyes are also healthy. I took her to Spain to see the great Goushi. Because of that trip plus labor and her puppies, she had stress and got SA. Martta was sterilized at fall 2008 and same time skin biopsy showed a starting SA. She is still doing fine and she never lost her coat fully. Martta’s son is dead because of UDS (VKH).
